I Deb Steedman, along with 3 other Brantfordians, met during our own personnel journeys. We have seen the plight of our homeless and the financial struggles of families to try to make ends meet. We have all felt and seen joy in the act of giving and the joy in the recipient of receiving. We want to embrace the joy by giving joy in this festival. Our dream is to help those who struggle financially with the ultimate goal of helping our homeless. I encourage you to google "Deb Steedman Brantford"
The Pay It Forward Event is 3 fold.
We have a group of citizens called the Guardian Angels, whom go out currently twice a week to give food and give supplies to help with Homeless Community.
We are hoping through this event to purchase 1, maybe 2 vending machines for the homeless to use. The machines will be programmed whereby cards carried by the homeless only have access to the machine 2 or 3 times a day. With this the machines will be controlled as to whom is using it and what is taken from it, therefore there will be an inventory control.
Secondly, there are many in the community whom have a difficult time to make ends meet. This event will marginally help with helping the community
Thirdly, to donate to this event, will bring you joy and the person receiving will have joy as well.
IT IS A WIN/WIN EVENT.
